Full-Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Starting pay: $21.00/hr (MA range: $21 – $23.50).
You're a skilled problem-solver with a proactive approach to building maintenance. You excel working independently or as part of a team, bring strong communication skills, and thrive in environments requiring hands-on expertise across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Flexible and dependable, you're ready to keep our grow house facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and site surveys
- Repair or replace hardware on doors, cabinets, furniture, windows, and bathroom partitions
- Replace ceiling tiles, flooring, wall protection, and ceramic tiles
- Troubleshoot and fix electrical components: bulbs, fixtures, ballasts, switches, receptacles
- Handle plumbing repairs: faucet washers, toilet seats, clogged drains
- Patch and paint walls; address minor roofing, masonry, and block repairs
- Assist with snow removal, de-icing, and grounds maintenance
- Document deficiencies, complete preventative maintenance slips, and fulfill work orders
- Address urgent issues: leaks, power loss, unsafe conditions
- Assemble, move, and install free-standing and wall-mounted equipment
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certificate in building maintenance from a vocational or certified school
- 3–5 years of building maintenance experience
- Strong self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communicator with strong customer service skills
Preferred:
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
- Ability to read prints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Skilled with industrial hand and power tools
Physical Requirements: lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, stand/walk for long periods, climb ladders, crawl under low spaces, potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
