Does everything you touch turn green? Green Thumb is seeking a self-motivated individual to provide expert care and maintenance for healthy, strong cannabis plants. This role requires strict adherence to safety and compliance regulations in a heavily regulated industry.
Plant Life:
- Topping and bottoming plants
- Transplanting and defoliating
- Tending to various grow media types
- Scouting for disease or potential insects
- Training plants
- Following national grow model and standards
Harvest Support:
- Preparing rooms for harvest
- Harvesting and taking down plants
- Defoliating and breaking plants into smaller pieces
- Hanging plants on dry racks
- Cleaning dry and flower rooms between harvests
Sanitation:
- Sweeping, mopping, and comprehensive facility cleaning
- Cleaning plant housing devices, tables, and pots
- Reporting issues to management for timely resolution
Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain awareness of workspace hazards and retain department-specific training
- Comply with area safety requirements and PPE standards
- Follow GMP and biosecurity protocols
- Perform accurate record keeping
- Maintain and calibrate equipment
Working Conditions:
- Regular reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, and repetitive motions
- Extended sitting or standing while maintaining focus
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs with extreme care
- Environment maintains 85+ degrees and 70% humidity
- Work at heights of 6–8 feet using platforms, ladders, and scaffolds
- Daily exposure to cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil allergens
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED minimum; associate degree or certifications preferred
- Prior cannabis experience not required
- Minimum 21 years of age, valid state ID
- Ability to obtain and maintain state badging
Compensation: $18.50 – $19.10 USD hourly. Pay reflects experience, qualifications, and location. May qualify for discretionary annual incentives.
