The Manufacturing (Lab) Manager oversees cannabis product manufacturing operations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The manager supervises production staff, creates master formulas, approves products post-testing, and manages packaging facility operations per state laws and company standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee packaging and lab staff, schedules, production processes, inventory, and vendor relations
- Serve as mentor and resource regarding products, policies, regulations, and industry changes
- Address staff questions and resolve conflicts
- Delegate tasks to maintain compliant, clean facilities
- Coordinate with upper management on documentation and information accuracy
- Ensure compliance with state packaging and lab regulations
- Maintain records of all activities per legal and company standards
- Prepare medically-infused products through measuring, mixing, and processing
- Implement quality control testing and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Biochemistry degree or related field (preferred)
- FDA-regulated position experience (preferred)
- Manufacturing experience in regulated pharmaceutical/nutraceutical facilities (preferred)
- Knowledge of sanitation requirements for pharmaceutical product production
- Understanding of state and local medical cannabis laws
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Must be 21+ years old with legal U.S. work authorization
Compensation: $85,000 – $110,000 USD.
